On 6th July 2009,at 3pm,we handled by senior’s students of HBP.We have briefing about ‘ My Big Bang !‘ which is orientation session with the senior.The objectives of this programme are to let the 1st year’s students know each other among ourselves,know our senior for take some advices and experiences, and know the areas around HBP’s school.

All students are compulsory to participate the orientation session on 9th until 12th July 2009.All of us need to pay about RM36 for fee which cover up for food,drink,t-shirt and other accessories.

The activities on 9th until 12th July 2009 :

9th July :

At 5.15 pm,have futsal and netball games.Futsal competition was held at Stadium near the hockey court.There were boy and girl teams.I was taking part with my team ' Rock Apple '.The girl's team only have 3 teams which are Rock Apple,Trillicious and Comunity(Senior's team).

The boy's team began the competition,and followed by girl's team which is Rock Apple Vs Trillicious.Rock Apple won the game.That's great.Then,Trillicious Vs Community ( 0-2) and followed  by Rock Apple Vs Community (0-2 ).

The netball games was held at field near to Batu Uban's gate which also near to HBP's school.

10th July :

At 2.30 pm,we had the opening ceremony of the orientation programme 'My Big Bang !'.The dean of HBP,Prof.Ir.Dr. Mahyuddin Ramli was launching the ceremony perfectly with short and useful advices to us.We needed to wear the official tshirt of this programme.

At 5.15 pm,we continued sport's games at the same venue.The game finished about 7.30 pm.

At 8.30 pm,we had to gather in Dataran Merah at HBP's area to do ice breaking among group members.In group,we need to introduce ourselves,find group's name,create group's cheer and make sculpture which show our group's identity.After finished group discussion,we need to present in front of the judges which are  among of senior from 4th and 5th years.

 

11th July :

We started about 10.30 am.We got a project's work which 'soft landing'.We need to make a structure which can save an egg when the structure felt down from height stair.Our group which is G16 can make the structure landing nicely and save the egg.The moment to fall down the structure at 2.30 pm,we need to sing our cheer before make the landing.Have some group which cannot save the egg.

At 8.30 pm,we had an explorace in HBP's area.We need to combine with G15.We need to cooperate to settle down oall the task that we got in each station.Some station want us to guest songs,play with flour and egg,dancing,make huge ring used A4 paper and etc.

We finished about 2 am.

 

12th July :

We started at 11 am.We need to discuss a preformance for Grand Dinner at night.All groups need to make a performance which is metamorphorsis.Our group combined with G15 discussed to make a cartoon story which from 30's to latest cartoon.

• Cinderrella - 50's

• Peter pan - 70's

• Wonder pets - 2009

At 8.30 pm,we need to gather at usuall place for Grand Dinner.But everybody must wear a mask because the theme is masqurette.Everybody looked so beutiful and smart.The Grand Dinner start by speech from Deputy Dean,Mr Aldrin.Then performances began.Our group got 2nd turn to perform.

After every group had performed,the gift ceremony took over.The Queen and King had announced for 1st year student by Ahmad Idris,2nd year's King.King title given to Mohd Faiz and Queen's title given to Farah Diyana.

Lastly,we all need to settle down everything by help to stack back all the chairs and tables.The Big Bang orientation become sweet and memorable for me because gave me many experiences.

“  What I read today, 06 July 2009, 0900-1200 ”

On 6^th July 2009,the 1^st year’s students of Housing,Building and Planning ( HBP ) which about 160 students  have a first class for 2009/2010 intake. The class was held in lecture hall in School of HBP,E48 B at 9 am.The class started by introduction of HBP courses by the coordinator,Mr.Wan Burhanuddin Wan Abidin.

First and foremost,he introduced to us the lecturers who will be teach and guide us for the whole years in HBP.After that,he gave us some slide shows about  “Reading and Documenting,Originality ”.

Firstly,he asked about the meaning of read.For me,read is see a something either text or pictures and understand what it’s about.But Che Wan told,read has many meaning.Different people have their own meaning of read.

Next,I got information about ‘ function of tools ’.

•    Document  : eg-text,diagram
•    Communicate : eg-presentation,explaination,description
•    Design : eg-sketch picture
•    Construct : eg-produce
•    Serve

Function of tools will be used during learning session in this 1^st semester.The documentating will be practice in 1^st week until 3^rd week.Next,in 4^th until  6^thth until 9^th week.in 10^th and 11^thth until 14^th week,the serving part will take over. All of us got the schedule about talks,lectures,demo/exercises and submission. week,communication part.The designing part will be on 7 week,the construction part.Lastly,on 12

Next,the basic of learning which about intention,act,product,actors,rules and site.

•   Intention – everything must start by an intention,aim and target
•  Act – the process to gain the target
•  Product – the thing or result after undergo some action
•   Intention do by a person or actor who has an aim
•  Act followed by rules.Everything we do,we need to follow a certain rule or process to make the product
•  Site is the place where your product produced

Lastly,the issue of plagiarism.Based on the slide shows which given by Che Wan,plagiarism is mean of copy another work or borrow someone else original.
